Delivery specifications

This is how you supply your files.

• Points to consider for plastic card files:
  • Finished size of card is 53.9 x 85.7 mm
  • Always check that all artwork/images are embedded in the file to avoid opening problems.
  • Sends you multiple documents by e-mail, then do this ‘packaged’ with a program such as WinRar or Zip. You can also send your files via, for example, WeTransfer.
  • Image resolution: 600 dpi. (Minimum 300 dpi).
  • Text resolution: if you cannot supply it as a vector object, then supply it in high resolution, at least 600 dpi.
  • Embed fonts, supply them or convert them to letter contours.
  • Open file (e.g. InDesign package or Illustrator): provide all linked illustrations and fonts.
  • Spot colors: use names according to the Pantone range.
  • Sloping objects 3 mm bleed all around.
  • Do not recess the (possible) magnetic strip in the design.
  • Rounded corners: diameter is 3 mm. We apply this automatically, you do not have to add this to the file.
  • Black texts: define as 100% process black (in overprint). So don’t build up.
  • For PDF: put everything on one layer and do not leave invisible or non-printable layers in the file.
• Dimensions of plastic cards

  The plastic card size is 53.9 x 85.7 mm. This format is laid down in the ISO standard: ISO/IEC 7810:2003 ID-1. The rounded corners have a diameter of 3 mm. You do not need to add this in the design. Always create the design with an extra 3 mm all around. This allows us to make a perfectly beveled plastic pass.

• Free space required for personalization

  The required free space for personalization depends on various factors. Type of barcode, length of name and address data, etc. The required space is always agreed with you before the printing process starts. Below are a few common cutouts.
  • Minimum barcode recess Intersolve: 75 x 16mm
  • Minimum barcode 123TCS recess: 85 x 20mm
  • PIN code recess: 11 x 4mm (only applicable to dark background)
  • Standard scratch-off label format: 15 x 6mm (other scratch-off formats label in consultation)

  • Minimale uitsparing barcode Intersolve : 75 x 16mm
  • Minimale uitsparing barcode 123TCS : 85 x 20mm
  • Uitsparing pincode : 11 x 4mm (alleen van toepassing bij donkere achtergrond)
  • Formaat standaard scratch-off label : 15 x 6mm (andere formaten scratch-off label in overleg)

  

• Delivery time
  If you choose Cards Unlimited, you choose reliable delivery times. We will keep you informed of the status throughout your order so that you are never surprised. As standard, we use a delivery time of maximum 3 weeks for delivering cards (unpersonalized) after approval of the color proof or PDF. The delivery time of Prepaid calling cards and personalized cards depends on the quantity, but we can also act quickly in this regard. Naturally, we can indicate in advance how much time is needed to deliver your product.
• Fast Track Service
  If you are at a loss and need an extremely fast delivery time, we will not let you down. Cards Unlimited can perform stunts, for a “fast track” fee a delivery time of 7 working days can be achieved for smaller quantities.

Database management and cards are inextricably linked. Millions of cards containing unique data leave our production. Our database management system allows us to keep track of which numbers have been used, when the next order should go ahead, which cards have been printed and what type of barcodes they had. Separate branches, mailings with 48 different letter texts – our database management ensures everyone receives the right card with the right letter on the right date. We also offer a data entry service.

Cards are packed into boxes labelled with the right information. Content, card type, numbering from / to etc..
